  • How many times will I need to be adjusted?
It is impossible to predict exactly how many visits a new patient will need to resolve their initial condition because each injury is unique, and everyone's healing response is different. Treatment lengths vary from person to person and from condition to condition. Newer injuries, if treated appropriately and immediately, tend to respond to fewer visit sift a major tissue injury has not occurred. Conditions that have been present for greater than 1 month and recurring conditions are generally more stubborn and difficult to manage. We give every patient an estimate on how long his or her correction may take after the initial examination. For those of you who believe in just waiting for the problem to “go away” on it’s own – understand that the longer your condition has been around, the more treatments it will eventually require to resolve. Get checked today! After your spine is corrected, it is important to continue regular maintenance adjustments to maintain a healthy spine.

Absolutely, chiropractic is safe for children. Children have spines too and should be checked for misalignment in the spine regularly. The doctors at Southwest Family Chiropractic use a very specific and gentle approach to chiropractic that not only helps align the spine and neck, but also helps to clear the neural pathways. All people can benefit from unobstructed neural pathways, especially children. The birth process may be one of the most traumatic events of our lives that can cause a subluxation in the spine causing interruption of those neural pathways. The result of this irritation can cause problems such as colic, unexplained crying, poor appetite in babies and lead to other problems as they grow. Many spinal problems seen in adults begin in childhood. Parents who get their kids adjusted regularly often report their kids seem healthier than other kids their age. Get your child checked today to be sure their nervous system is functioning at 100%!
